Adult Faith Education

    We are very concerned to help adults deepen their faith in Christ Jesus. To this end, we have three programs.

    First we have classes for parents of catechism children on Sunday mornings. This takes place once a month. All are welcome, of course. See details below.

    Second, we have IXOYE, pronounced Ixthus. This is a Sunday evening session for all adults, twice a month. It is a time to discuss our faith, learn how to pray, and we discuss the bible. We are presently studying the Acts of the Apostles. You are very welcome to join us. For details, just call the office. First classes, August 1 and 15. Then, every 1st and 3rd Sunday evening, 7 p.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church. 

    Doctrine and Ethics classes, are every Saturday from 10:30 to 12 noon, at St.David's church library. This is a time for questions and answers to those things which have always been on your mind. Though themes are presented each week, the discussion will take the direction the group wants to go in. In a recent meeting, we were talking about the roots of Christian teaching. We ended discussing why women can not become priests, and the discussion was lively. The saturdays are also a time to explore other religious faiths. We will visit the moslems, the Seikhs, and other religious groups from time to time.
