ΙΧΘΥΣ The letters in the Greek ancient word « ichthus » symbolize Christ, whom Christians believe to be the Son of God, the face of God, the Alpha and the Omega.
The Greek word ichtus means « fish ».The Greek (ichthus) were the first letters of the Greek words, an acronym, for « Jesus Christ, Son of God, the Savior. » It is a symbol for Christ. During times of persecution, the early Christians used a fish as a secret sign of identification.

ΙΧΘΥΣ is a group gathering to deepen the faith, to discover the Word of God, to pray together, to be a community in Christ. It is a bilingual meeting. The gatherings are every second and fourth Sunday night 7:00 pm at the rectory of Mary Queen of Peace Church and each session is about 2 hours. There is a ΙΧΘΥΣ annual retreat in a monastery, in the spring.
